Climbing the highest mountain in Mexico is a physical and mental challenge. Pico de Orizaba, also known as Citlaltepetl, is a volcano located in the state of Puebla and Veracruz. With an altitude of 5,636 meters, this majestic colossus attracts mountaineers from all over the world. The ascent requires good physical condition and experience in mountaineering, since the route presents steep terrain and extreme weather changes. However, the reward is incredible. Once at the top, you can enjoy impressive panoramic views and the satisfaction of having conquered one of the most emblematic peaks in Mexico.
ITINERARY
Scheduled program in open group
Day 1. Meeting point: Zoapan, Puebla. Breakfast at hostel. Travel in 4 - while drive vehicle up to Refugio Piedra Grande. Lunch, acclimatization hike. Dinner. Night at base camp.
Day 2. Light breakfast. Ascent to summit. Lunch. Return to Zoapan. Meal at hostel.
